privacy trees/shrubs, deer resistant

We have a privacy issue in my back yard and many deer which I have no disire to fence out. I am looking for something that will grow thick enough to provide privacy and not so appetizing to our four legged friends. I heard your show today for the first time on NPR. I appreciate information that pertains to our local growing environment. keep up the great work!
